John Shifflet of Albemarle Co., cleared of Captain Davies's Company, Militia Return of Thomas Jefferson as County Lieutenant. [John is not given a rank in the reference and so was most likely a private. NCOs and officers are listed by name and rank.]

John Shiflett served in the Albemarle Co. Militia for three months as given in a statement for the pension application No. R.3146 of Martin Dunn on 13 Oct 1845.
